This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Little Signals website, buy from us or sign up for emails, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Little Signals is part of The Regulated Human Co., an independent UK publisher. The Regulated Human Co. is responsible for your information (the "data controller"). What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card details.
- When you sign up: your email address, and which list you joined (for example news and new printables, or the app waiting list).
- When you contact us: your name, email address and what you tell us.
- When you browse: basic information about your device and how the site is used, collected with cookies. Cookies that aren't needed for the site to work are only used if you agree to them in the cookie banner.
Children
The Little Signals website is made for children to look at with a grown-up. Buying and signing up are for grown-ups only. The check-in, breathing and activities on the site don't save anything a child chooses or types, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has given us their details, email hello@theregulatedhumanco.co.uk and we will delete them.
How we use your information
- To take, print, send and support your order, including returns and refunds.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To send the emails you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site and payments secure and prevent fraud.
- To keep the business records the law requires.
We rely on: carrying out our contract with you (orders), your consent (marketing emails and optional cookies), our legitimate interests (running and improving the shop, preventing fraud), and our legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Shopify, which hosts this shop and sends our order emails.
- Our payment providers, to take payment.
- Our print partners and delivery companies, to print and deliver your order.
Shopify also uses some information under its own privacy policy, for example to keep payments secure and to improve its services. You can read it at shopify.com/legal/privacy. We never sell your information.
Some of these services store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK's approved international data transfer agreements.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, normally six years. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to stop or limit how we use it, or to send you a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@theregulatedhumanco.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
